Business Analyst – Supply Chain Strategy & Operations at BuildDirect

Reporting to the Manager of Warehouse Services, the Business Analyst supports the development of strategic business plans for BuildDirect Supply Chain business, conducts value-add analysis and prepares recommendations to enhance business performance. The ideal candidate has an exceptional ability to quickly grasp unstructured situations, and present results in a clear, concise manner for senior level stakeholders. What You’ll Do Through customer and competitor segmentation, design and build complex financial and strategic models to provide pricing & costing insights to the different Supply Chain businesses Analyze and report on various ad-hoc requests including market trends, daily/weekly sales, under/over performance and SKU/Seller specific analyses and communicate the results of the analysis to the leadership in a clear and comprehensive way Integrate insights across multiple business segments and multiple data sources to determine business risks and opportunities Ensure alignment of assumptions and other critical analytical assessments with appropriate stakeholders Build strong relationships while working within a cross functional team environment Develop standardized processes to streamline warehouse/BD operations What You’ll Achieve Analyze and provide recommendations regarding internal process improvements to increase efficiency and implement standardization Work closely with business stakeholders to prepare future year planning and in year forecasts Work with Analytics team to make recommendations to enhance Business Intelligence systems with automation as the desired end stat Discover opportunities to best utilize capacity and opportunity costs for BuildDirect Supply Chain What You’ll Need 3+ years’ experience in supply chain, operations, market research, engineering or category management In-depth experience and knowledge of global supply chain procedures and methodologies Practical knowledge of quantitative research methodologies Exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Ability to build and present business cases for the purpose of providing recommendations and identifying financial implications Clear and concise communication and presentation skills; desire to challenge the status quo and encourage use of new information and consumer insights Ability to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously demonstrating strong prioritization skills, balancing uncertainties and trade-offs to achieve desired business results.
