Developer In Test Data QC at BuildDirect

As a member of our Technology team at BuildDirect, you work with a multi-disciplinary group of bright and motivated people. You and your team operate autonomously to solve real customer problems with smart and innovative solutions, end to end. You measure success and its impact with data collected from our platform. You will use modern software engineering approaches like micro services, cloud deployment and auto scaling, continuous and iterative software delivery, and data driven decision making. We are as equally obsessed with hiring great colleagues as with building great software. As a Developer in Test Data QC you will work closely with our Data Analytics team to ensure the correctness of data flowing through our commerce and API Gateway systems. You will also be working on new cutting-edge systems built intelligently monitor production data. Examples of what Developers in Test are doing here Contribute to and maintain existing automation frameworks and architecture Automate tests and data checks to enable your team to continuously deploy releases without the need for manual steps Mentor your QA and development peers to write great test automation Perform manual testing (if it doesn’t make sense to automate) Contribute to an automated testing strategy to make tests reliable, repeatable, and visible Act as quality champion and coach for your team, encouraging and teaching best practices in both code structure and workflow Experience that is relevant to us Extensive experience in QA and open source test automation on various platforms Experience of testing complex data driven algorithms Experience creating test data for e-commerce Experience with operation data monitoring and alerting systems such as PagerDuty, Nagios Extensive experience with Jenkins integration servers Liaising with offshore teams Experience in Selenium 2.0, Cucumber or other BDD type test frameworks Experience with NUnit, XUnit or both Languages/Scripting – Java language, Ruby, Bash, C#, SQL, Gherkin Worked within an Agile environment Experience working on cloud solutions and platforms XML, NoSQL, Microsoft Azure, AWS, micro-services, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration and DevOps A desire to transform and take “test automation” to the next level within BuildDirect A degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience What is BuildDirect’s mission?
