You work with BuildDirect’s executive team to set and execute long-term growth strategies that take the company’s trajectory to a billion dollar+ business.

BuildDirect is reinventing the home improvement industry with the first artificial intelligence (AI)-driven technology platform for heavyweight products. The BuildDirect platform includes two core business units.

BuildDirect Marketplace: An online marketplace that offers Homeowners and Pro Buyers the ability to purchase heavyweight home improvement products direct from Sellers and receive efficient direct-to-home (or jobsite) shipping of those products.
Gateway Supply Chain: The first anywhere-to-the-home supply chain for heavy and bulky goods that equips manufacturers, distributors and retailers with efficient and cost-effective shipping solutions to move their products from anywhere in the world, to locations across North America.
The platform is powered by proprietary AI that drives robust efficiencies for the innovation of heavyweight product services, distribution, and sales across buyers, sellers, shippers, and everyone in between. BuildDirect is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia with warehouse locations across North America.

Create a comprehensive marketing strategy for our marketplace platform which includes digital, and other acquisition strategies, using a highly analytical and metrics driven approach.
Develop and execute the marketing strategy targeted at buyers, sellers, and suppliers to accelerate growth and build the BD
Drive high impact and high ROI programs that deliver leads and maximize conversion.
Position BuildDirect as a technology platform company; help drive the company’s value proposition to the market.
Having deep understanding of inherent customer behavior and using data and technology to drive a personalized (1:1) acquisition and customer experience.
Understands market, customers and competitors to position our platform in a favorable way.
Be the voice of the product; craft the narrative that brings our platform to life
Optimize the end-to-end customer journey; ensuring the delivery of a seamless on-brand customer experience with the objective of improving customer engagement, increasing market penetration through current customer base and attracting new customers.
Own and develop the company’s customer lifecycle acquisition and retention strategy, meeting lifetime customer value and cost per acquisition targets to support business goals and objectives.
Evaluate and optimize existing core marketing efforts (PPC, Display, Email). Source, evaluate, prioritize, test, implement and optimize innovative methods for reaching and converting new customers, and meeting customer acquisition targets.
Develop and build a high performing team that continually excels, and collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Technology, Category Management, and other functional business areas.
Work closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure fit between BD’s core promise to the customer and the delivery of the product/service.
Accountable for continually refining the marketing processes, procedures, metrics, and tools which will enable BD to achieve rapid growth goals.
Provide leadership in strategic and operational planning with marketing, messaging, and go-to ­market plans for products and services, channel partnerships, and more.

Demonstrated success in a senior strategic marketing role for a high growth organization, including 15+ years of experience in digital marketing, branding, and communications.
Proven experience in driving high revenue growth and customer acquisition in a consumer or B2B on-line business.
Experience and passion for driving decisions and marketing investments through a highly analytical and data driven framework.
Experience using the following tools: Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
