Warehouse Assistant – 1 year contract at BuildDirect

We connect homeowners directly to the suppliers of home improvement products, which eliminates heavy retail markups and makes for a much simpler and trusted shopping experience.

Our warehouse is growing and we’re looking for someone with great initiative to join our fast paced team. You’ll be receiving and organizing products in the warehouse, both to support our photographer to set up and set down for photoshoots, as well as supporting overall warehouse operations. You will participate in a variety of tasks and teams, and are always looking to provide help where needed and proactively seeking to keep the space clean, organized and functionally efficient. What You'll Do…

Move boxes of product such as wood and tile flooring, siding and roofing, unpacking and setting up the product for a photoshoot in a precise and meticulous manner
Stage, prepare, and setup to support the Photographer to create images which are aesthetically pleasing as well as informational
Setting down, repacking and organizing the products
Receive products upon delivery and organize them by priority
Identify and communicate any apparent defects / product inconsistencies noticed during staging of products
Picking and packing orders at a box – pallet – truckload level
Keeping the warehouse organized and clean
A bit of data entry
Ensure cleanliness of work station and follow all safety guidelines
Support Samples team as required


What You'll Achieve…

Supporting efficient photoshoot production to ensure our website stays up to date with new product images
Maintain a clean, efficient and organized warehouse


What You'll Bring…

1-2 years warehouse & forklift experience
Forklift Certification is a plus but not required
A team oriented attitude
