Verification Associate – Different shift times and hours available at Zebit

Position Summary: Verification Associates are responsible for reviewing all registrations submitted using a pay stub as proof of income. For each registration, a determination must be made to either approve or reject based on the assessment of the pay stub. These determinations are made using guidelines and standard operating procedures. It is important that these standards are applied consistently to prevent errors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work independently to assess each registration accurately and within the time limit set by the department
Select the appropriate reason codes when needed to identify why a determination was made
Clearly articulate the reasons decisions were made during regular reviews of completed registration decisions
As needed, can extrapolate annual income based on a single pay stub
Work with Fraud Specialist or designee when special circumstances arise or when the correct actions are unclear – over time, with experience, depend less on this assistance
Continuously look for opportunities to improve existing policies and procedures to support the team, function, and broader organizational goals
There are full and part time positions available for this function – part time shifts require 8-hour shifts on both Saturday and Sunday and are at-home positions – full time shifts are M-F and are performed in our corporate office in La Jolla

Education Requirements: High School Diploma required – any college-level classes in business, finance, or related field a plus.

Experience Requirements: 1+ years working in an e-commerce, financial, or relevant field.

Work Environment (Telecommuting):

Much of the work performed will be performed at employee’s residence subject to these below requirements:

Reside within 50 miles of La Jolla, CA. Training will be conducted onsite.
Required to have a safe, dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and is free of distractions
Required to have a work area in a section of the residence that provides information privacy
Required to keep all Company sensitive documents and property secure
Required to have lockable drawers for the securing of confidential information, if applicable
Must live in a location that can leverage an existing high-speed internet service and telephone
Remote colleagues are responsible for establishing and maintaining a proper work environment where personal distractions, such as non-business telephone calls and visitors, are kept to a minimum
