Senior Product Manager, Mobile at Vlocity

Vlocity is looking for a design savvy product leader to manage its mobile application framework, and the Vlocity apps developed on it. Vlocity Mobile is a hybrid mobile app platform that's easily configurable with Vlocity's digital interaction platform tools, and can be completed restyled using web HTML/CSS/JS templates. Vlocity Mobile is available on iOS and Android.

Our industry-focused product teams rely on our mobile platform to deliver a wide variety of business applications, including:

Communications: Order Entry, Retail Customer Service
Insurance: Policy Quotes and Applications, Policy Holder Service
Public Sector: Application In-Take, Case Worker Tools
Specific job responsibilities include:

Daily leadership and collaboration with our mobile development team,
Leading requirements gathering and user story development,
Coordinating and driving product design,
Communicating new capabilities to our customers, partners and sales/service teams,
Presenting our mobile capabilities in sales opportunities,
Ensuring success of key customer deployments,
Coordination, planning and review of supporting technical publications.
During your first six months at Vlocity:

You'll ship our new app for employees at mobile phone stores, and launch it at a key industry trade events along with our partners at Salesforce and Accenture.
You'll collaborate closely with a leading insurer on a tablet application for agents to use with new clients at the point of sale.
You'll collaborate with our engineering team on the platform's configuration tools, and then roll-out the capabilities to our global sales and services teams.
You'll research and develop a new service to publish apps on behalf of our customers, enabling them full control of icons, splash screens and branding.
We are looking for an expert in enterprise mobile applications, with a track record of success at the leading software vendor, system integrator or enterprise IT department.

You consider yourself a “product person”. You have a knack for making the complex simple, and strive to eliminate the extra steps and controls that overload most applications. You know that making the solution configurable is just as important as making it usable, and you enjoy setting up and demonstrating the product.

You have excellent design judgment, and often design features yourself. You're keenly attuned to user experience patterns in the market, and are always seeking to bring innovative new features to our platform. You strive for excellence in visual presentation, and ensure that our apps have a professional level of polish.

You are a credible, motivating and organized ‘Product Owner’ on your development team. You’re well versed in modern software development processes, and strive for continuous improvement within your team. You have a sense of urgency and know how to get things done. You thrive working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You ensure your team delivers high-quality work for key milestones - sprints, releases, demos, and marketing events.
You have experience communicating with the business side of the organization. You’re always up-to-date on company objectives and opportunities. You know how to translate those into actionable priorities for your team. You’re closely aligned with Sales, Marketing and Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications Include:
5+ years professional experience, including 2 years’ experience in mobile applications, with a track record of bringing multiple quality products to market or into production.
Success as a Product Owner in an agile development process.
Stellar academic background, Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required. MBA preferred.
Excellent design skills - both UX and visual - and sound judgment on design decisions.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Must enjoy the challenges and opportunities of a startup environment.
Strong work ethic, initiative and drive.
US Work Permit Required.
